MORE than £2,000 was raised towards the upkeep of All Saints' Church, Calbourne, following the village fete on Saturday.

The fete was held in the grounds of Westover House and visitors of all ages enjoy the bar, barbecue, fun dog show, arena games, arts and crafts, raffle.

Organiser Angie Clayton, said: "It was a great day and we were so lucky with the weather, unlike last year.

"Everybody had a really good time and it is all down to our volunteers on the day as well as all those who spend so much of their time to set up and dismantle the stalls.

"We raised just over £2,000 towards the upkeep of the church so well done to everyone who turned up and we look forward to seeing everyone again next year."
