Chela and Chiquita, both descended from wealthy families in Asunción, Paraguay, have been together for more than 30 years.

But when their financial situation worsens they begin selling off their inherited possessions, and debts lead to Chiquita being imprisoned on fraud charges.

Chela is forced to face a new reality, a new job and a new life, which leads to her breaking out of her shell and embarking on her own personal, intimate revolution.

The club is showing Book Club (PG) at 7.30pm on Thursday (13) — another film only released this year.

Diane (Diane Keaton) is recently widowed after 40 years of marriage. Vivian (Jane Fonda) enjoys her men with no strings attached. Sharon (Candice Bergen) is still working through a decades-old divorce. Carol (Mary Steenburgen) is in a slump of a 35-year marriage.

Four lifelong friends' lives are turned upside down to hilarious ends when their book club tackles the infamous Fifty Shades of Grey. From discovering new romance to rekindling old flames, they inspire each other to make their next chapter the best chapter.
