THE COUNCIL has set up a free collection service to remove abandoned cars. A direct link to the DVLC has also been installed. Around the country, there has been a 600 per cent rise in the numbers of abandoned cars and Bromley has its fair share.
Liberal Democrat Councillor Helen Rabbatts said: Dumped cars are the result of anti-social behaviour by a few individuals. The council has introduced the free collection service to help responsible residents dispose of unwanted cars.
