LOLLIPOP lady Anne Vint is getting ready to hang up her sign after 20 years of dedicated service.
Anne will hand over charge to Lesley Baker as she performs her role for the last time outside Old Bexley C of E Primary School in Hurst Road.
Anne has been helping children to cross the road for the past 20 years and won Bexley Council's Lollipop of the Year award in 1992.
She said: “I have really enjoyed my time as a lollipop lady. The children and parents have been wonderful. I hope Lesley will still be helping children in 20-years.”
Anne is looking forward to a long and happy retirement with her husband, Derek.
Bexley Council currently has 12 vacant posts across the borough for lollipop people. Call Pauline Rootsey on 020 8303 7777 ext 2938.
