Aileen Kocurek of the Women's Institute presents Winifred Dale with a bouquet to celebrate her birthday.
THE Hextable branch of the Women's Institute has held a special birthday party for one of its members.
Winifred Dale, who lives at the Broad Oak Manor, in Arnolds Lane, Dartford, celebrates her 100th birthday on May 23 and the group decided to hold the party at its last meeting before the big day.
Mrs Dale was born in Camberwell and lived in Welling and Bexleyheath before moving to Hextable in the mid-50s. She has two children, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mrs Dale says she enjoys life and ascribes her old age to her sense of humour.
