TEACHER and playwright Renata Allen has written a modern Christmas play which is being performed in Scotland.
The pantomime, Santa and Nicolas, which is written by the St Dunstans College drama tutor, looks at the true meaning of Christmas.
Ghosts of Christmas past, which usually feature in Yuletide plays, have been replaced with break-dancing hordes and Jack Frost.
In the play, Santa has become disillusioned with Christmas.
He decides to pack it all in and puts his Santa suit and sleigh in mothballs, never to be used again.
It is Nicolass job to track down the jolly man and convince him the Christmas spirit is still alive.
