PROMOTION-winning Pan Sports — off to a perfect start in the Harwoods Renault Isle of Wight League Divison 1 — came down to earth with a bump with a 5-1 hammering at title holders Whitecroft and Barton Sports on Tuesday evening.
Pan Sports remain top on goal difference to West Wight, who lost 3-1 at home to Northwood St John last night (Wednesday), while Whitecroft and Barton Sports move up to third, still unbeaten, a point befind them on 11 points.
In Division 2, Ryde Saints maintained their 100 per cent winning start to the season with a 2-1 win away in their derby with Wootton on Tuesday.
Yarmouth and Calbourne's nightmare start to the season continued with a sixth defeat out of six having lost 10-1 away at Niton Community.
