From Jeremy Westmore, Wootton Bridge:
I WOULD like to give my belated congratulations to John Giddings and his team on this year’s IW Festival.
It was busier than ever which made things a bit difficult at times but the excellence of the organisation involved cannot be denied and a good time was had by all, I would suggest.
The gold clothing suggestion for the Saturday to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first festival worked out very well with large participation (my effort was a feeble gold chain, however).
Next year it is, of course, the golden anniversary of the 1969 Wootton festival, which was headlined by Bob Dylan. I wonder if John has a special plan to celebrate this?
Dylan wore a white suit at Wootton and so perhaps a white and gold theme could be adopted for the Saturday? Just an idea.
Keep up the good work, John!
