Wally Corby

My overriding memory of my Uncle Wally is one where he is laughing, smiling or cracking a joke. As a child, I spent many family holidays in the company of him and Auntie Anne, Lisa and Neil and Uncle Wally was always looking for opportunities to play with us and tease us. Mum and Dad enjoyed many a sundowner on a Spanish balcony with them. Our two families often spent days out with them as they both sought breaks from their busy lives, especially Sundays when we would all go swimming at West Wight Pool. A key memory is of him laughing with me about my pet budgie, showing me around his hotel kitchens and his made up songs about Auntie Anne and a part of her clothing I won't identify to spare her blushes. My memory of him will always be filled with warmth, smiles and laughter. He was a fabulous Uncle and will be greatly missed. Your niece, Jacky x
