SANDOWN'S Fairweather Festival has announced its new location for 2018.

Taking place on Friday, August 31 and Saturday, September 1, Sandown Airport will play host to Fairweather Festival, now in its second year.

Organisers say Sandown Airport will allow for more, free parking, a later curfew and new stages, while still holding the same capacity as the previous year.

In 2017, Los Altos Park hosted the inaugural event, which saw performances from the likes of Professor Green, FooR, Lucy Spraggan and The Chuckle Brothers in front of a sold out audience.

This year, ‘the festival for better mental health’ is partnered with the IW Youth Trust to raise vital awareness and important funds to sustain their outstanding services for the future.

Founder and promoter Callum Fairweather said: “We’re very excited to be moving to a new, unique location we can call our home for years to come.

"I’m delighted the airport shares our vision to make a difference within our local community and I hope you all come and enjoy the weekend.”

Tickets will go on sale in the coming weeks, along with the first line-up announcement.
