THOUSANDS of cyclists enjoyed spectacular sunshine for the Isle of Wight Randonnee on Sunday.
A record-breaking 3,100 participants took part.
The 100km cycle ride went around the entire Island clockwise, with checkpoints at East Cowes, Wootton, Bembridge, Alverstone, Ventnor and Yarmouth.
There was also a 55km route going through Newport and around the East Wight.
The Randonnee has been going for more than 30 years now and is a free family friendly event without a racing element.
As well as many Isle of Wight cyclists, the event attracted many people from the mainland.
Andy Newman, of the Wayfarer Cycle Touring Club Randonnee team, said: "Thanks to our sponsors, especially Morrisons, who donated a large amount of food for the Ventnor checkpoint, proceeds of which will be donated to the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance."
