A PLANE has crashed on Shanklin and Sandown Golf Course this afternoon (Sunday).
A small, single engine plane crashed onto the golf course at around 12.40pm.
Emergency services, inluding police, paramedics and firefighters, rushed to the scene.
A spokesperson for the Isle of Wight ambulance service said that the single casualty, the pilot, only suffered minor injuries and may not even need to be conveyed to hospital.
Firefighters from Sanklin and Ryde remain on scene as a precautionary measure.
