Firefighters were called out to a house fire in Binstead last night, which was started when a dishwasher caught fire.
A DISHWASHER was the cause of a house fire in Binstead last night (Monday).
Two crews of firefighters were called out from Ryde Fire Station to tackle the blaze on Jellicoe Road just before 8pm.
A spokeswoman for the fire and rescue service said that the fire had started on a dishwasher.
Firefighters extinguished the flames and removed the dishwasher from the house, the spokeswoman said.
Two adults were in the property at the time of the fire and paramedics attended the scene, but did not need to take anyone to hospital, a spokesman for the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service said.
