ENGLAND’S World Cup effort received more support from the Island yesterday (Friday) as a zebra crossing was graffitied with St. George’s flags and white cars have been granted the red cross.
The crossing, at Wellington Road, Newport, is just one of many public places to be branded with the flag as England head into the World Cup quarter finals.
The cars at Whitwell Garage.
The garage posted on Facebook: "We're right behind England today."
England play Sweden at 3pm today in the hopes of reaching the semi finals where they will play either Russia or Croatia.
