RYDE Inshore Rescue and a Coastguard Rescue Team from Bembridge have been called to assist a kite surfer just off Seaview this afternoon (Sunday).
The call was made at 3.37pm by a member of the public who thought the kite surfer may be in trouble.
It is unclear yet whether the kite surfer is in need of assistance.
UPDATE: A spokesperson from UK Coastguard confirmed the kite surfer had lost his board and was in trouble off the coast of Seaview.
Ryde Rescue 1 took the casualty to the slip way at Seaview Yacht Club.
