A MAN has been hit by a car this evening (Tuesday) on the main road near Shalfleet.
The Ambulance Service has two ambulances and a car at the scene on the main road between Shalfleet and Yarmouth after receiving the call at 5.22pm.
A spokesperson from the Ambulance Service said a male pedestrian was hit just outside the Horse and Groom pub.
Police are also at the scene.
UPDATE: The man has been taken to St Mary’s Hospital following the incident.
The emergency services have left the scene and the road is now open.
