Isle of Wight man accused of arson
AN ISLE of Wight man accused of committing arson in Ventnor in February this year appeared before magistrates today (Friday).
David Hilton Orchard, 30, of Hyde Road, Shanklin, is accused of arson with intent and recklessness as to whether life was endangered.
He is alleged to have destroyed two properties in Beaconsfield Road, and intending by the destruction to endanger the lives of two people.
No plea was entered at the hearing and the case was adjourned to the Isle of Wight Crown Court on October 29.
He was granted unconditional bail.
