ANOTHER year of good beer, old buses and historic walks was enjoyed by thousands of enthusiasts this weekend.

More than 100 classic buses and coaches transported the eager troops to more than 90 pubs across the Island and seven new historic walks, by local historians, were available for the walkers.

John Nicholson, chairman of CAMRA Isle of Wight, said: "It was another fantastic year for beers and buses.

"More people are starting to recognise that its an opportunity to showcase the Island.

"The comments from those I spoke to on the day was: 'Don't ever stop doing this event.'"

The Beers and Buses website has posted a thank you to the bus drivers and owners, the Bus Museum and CAMRA volunteers and all the passengers who took part in the weekend.
