THIS year's Wolverton Manor Garden Fair was the most successful to date — raising £22,000 for Age UK Isle of Wight.

A cheque was presented by the Wolverton Committee at a thank you coffee morning for all their hard-working volunteers that supported the weekend.

One hundred per cent of the funds raised stays on the Island, helping the charity meet the ever-growing demand on their services to support older Island residents.

Elisha Leachman, Age UK Isle of Wight's fundraising manager, said: "We are delighted with the amount raised this year.

"The money will be put to good use, providing older Islanders who have no one else to turn to, with vital help and support.

"Thank you so much to all our volunteers and everyone that attended the fair, making this our most successful show to date."

Wolverton Manor Garden Fair will take place again in 2019, on Saturday, August 31, and Sunday, September 1.
