The news was announced by Greg James on Radio 1 Breakfast this morning (Wednesday).

Taking to Twitter, the band posted: "It feels like just yesterday that we nearly wet ourselves with fear before playing the future sounds stage, or maybe it was raining?

"Anyway, we’ll be in Dundee for BBCR1’s big weekend this year but this time on the main stage apparently see you soon."

Most recently, Wet Leg have been supporting Harry Styles on his world tour.

It follows their success at the BRITS, where they scooped not one, but two awards.

In the week earlier they also claimed big at the Grammys.

As well as Hester and Rhian, the band is made up of Joshua Mobararki, Henry Holmes and Ellis Durand.

Other acts performing over the weekend include FLO, who have recently been confirmed for Isle of Wight Festival 2023, Anne-Marie and Lewis Capaldi.
