It is billed as "probably the biggest scooter rally in the world" by its Facebook page.

The Isle of Wight Scooter Rally is taking place this weekend, with the big ride-out taking place today (Sunday).

The main camp is at Sandown Airport but a lot of the activity is still happening in its former hometown of Ryde - but of course the scooter can be seen all over the Island!

What time and where is the Isle of Wight Scooter Rally ride-out?

The ride-out leaves Ryde Arena on the Esplanade at 1pm, and the route is towards Puckpool, through Nettlestone to St Helens, then down Latimer Road to Bembridge.

From Bembridge, it's to Yaverland then through Sandown up the High Street, towards Shanklin.

From Shanklin, the scooters will go to Apse Heath then turn left into Sandown Airport.

Music by the Dead Perrys will be on from 2pm at the airport base.

The Isle of Wight Scooter Rally is an official BSRA (British Scooter Rallies Association) rally, with the official campsite and entertainment organised by VFM.

There are also many independent events run by scooterists and local venues.
