A man trapped under a ride-on lawnmower on the Isle of Wight this morning (Tuesday, October 24) prompted an emergency rescue response.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service (HIWFRS) were called at around 11.20am to reports of a man stuck in a ditch, trapped underneath his lawnmower in Lake.
Two appliances from Newport, alongside one engine from Shanklin, ambulance and paramedic teams attended the scene on Lake Green Road.
A spokesperson for HIWFRS said firefighters were able to winch the four-wheeled lawnmower off the man.
The man was freed and handed over into the care of the ambulance service.
