Police have released an update following a two-vehicle crash on the Isle of Wight, which closed a major Ryde route this lunchtime (Monday, April 15).

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary were called at 10.24am with reports of a collision on East Hill Road in Ryde, the road between the Esplanade and Appley Road, towards Marlborough Road.
Police were joined by crews from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service and the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service.
It was reported to emergency teams that a Mazda and a van had collided and that 'a number of parked cars' had also been damaged.
A police spokesperson told the County Press that 'no injuries' have been reported at this time.
East Hill Road was closed in both directions, with the incident cordoned, but the road has since reopened.
