Plucky Clare Pearce aims high when she sets out to help charity 12,000 feet to be exact. The 23-year-old secretary from Kingsway, Petts Wood, recently plunged out of a plane from that height, strapped to instructor Mark Maynard, to raise money for the Mental Health Charity. With pledges of more than £1,000, Miss Pearce was in high spirits as she took off from Headcorn Airfield, near Maidstone, for the tandem jump. She said: "This has got to be the best experience of my life. It was a fantastic feeling. It is also a great way of raising money for charity, and I'm now on the lookout for my next adventure."
