Simon Moye, Southern Vectis assistant operations manager, said: "I can confirm one of our buses was involved in an incident at around 12.10am on Sunday, when the driver was unable to avoid hitting a tree whilst heading towards Ryde. There were four passengers on board at the time and some reported minor injuries, but no ambulance was required.
"The safety of our drivers and passengers is our highest priority, and we are carrying out an urgent investigation to establish the circumstances behind the incident.
