ISLE of Wight firefighters were called out this morning (Saturday) to a fire at the Foyer, a youth accommodation centre in Ryde.
Cooking sparked the blaze, a spokeswoman for the fire service said, but the fire was out by the time firefighters arrived at the George Street address.
A fan was used to clear the smoke.
The fire and rescue service were called just before 8am and left the scene at 8.30am.
