January 15, 2001 17:16: Langley Park School for Girls, in Hawksbrook Lane, Beckenham, has been praised by the schools inspectorate Ofsted in a recent report.
Headteacher Jan Sage was delighted with the account of last Novembers inspection.
The report said Langley Park was a "good and effective school" with pupils attaining high standards in academic work because of good teaching and hard work.
Mrs Sage said: "It is good to have an affirmation of teachers and pupils efforts to do their best and it will reinforce our determination to keep on trying to raise standards."
She added: "I would like to give my sincere thanks to all involved."
