A HOSPICE charity has edged a step closer to realising its dream of building a new care centre with a move to Petts Wood.
Harris HospisCare, currently raising funds for a new palliative care centre in Orpington, took two days to shift its current day care service and administration offices.
Staff are delighted with the new temporary office, which they say is a "huge improvement" on the cramped portable cabins they had been using.
Chief executive James Frost said: "We can now begin to look forward with confidence. It's a very exciting and challenging time for us."
Harris HospisCare still needs to raise £550,000 to complete the centre in Orpington.
