because the British round of the World Superbikes comes to Brands Hatch.

The News Shopper, in conjunction with Octagon Motorsports, the owners of Brands Hatch, have five pairs of tickets for our readers to win in our easy-to-enter competition.

In the corresponding meeting last year, more than 100,000 bike-racing fanatics turned up at Brands to see the best of the Brits take on the world's leading riders.

At the end of last season Neil Hodgson, the British Champion, moved up to the world stage with his GSE team to join new team-mate James Toseland, and is bound to make a bold show. While defending World champion Colin Edwards, on his Castrol Honda, will be looking to gain ground on Troy Bayliss, who is currently leading this season's Championship race.

Crowd favourite Pier-Francesco Chili and Ben Bostrum, double winner in the last World title round in Laguna Seca, will line up alongside Brands Hatch regular Troy Corser and Akira Yanagawa.

One of Brands' best-loved riders, four-times World champion Carl Fogarty, will be attending the meeting and will be signing copies of his book following his retirement from the racing saddle last year.
