SHOPPERS in Penge were given a sneak preview of top-rated childrens TV show, SMTV.

This was during the Christmas Fair, at the Blenheim Centre when members of a local dance school performed.

The school, the Anerley School of Dance, has been invited on to the ITV Saturday morning programme hosted by Ant and Dec.

The dancers performed for the crowds as they wandered through the mall, giving them a glimpse of what is to come on the television show.

The dancers were getting in a bit of practice before going live on the programme.

It will be screened on January 13 and February 17.

The school is also sending 50 pupils to Disneyland, Paris.

Bad weather cancelled some of the outside performances by the dance school.

The Penge town centre manager, David Kerr, thought the whole fair could be a wash out.

However, he said: The girls from Anerley School of Dance put on such a magnificent display inside, and the weather did not really matter.

The day went off with a bang and all those who were there appeared to be thoroughly enjoying themselves.
