IW CRICKETER David Griffiths has announced he is to leave Hampshire, after more than 15 years at the club.
The seam bowler, 27, has been involved with Hampshire since he was 11 years old, but will leave at the end of the season before joining Kent at the beginning of next year.
Griffiths, a former Shanklin player, recorded his best first-class figures for the county is 2010, taking 5-85 against Essex but suffered injury problems after that, and throughout the 2011 season.
Hampshire manager, Giles White, said: "Griff has always been a very popular member of our squad so he leaves with our best wishes, of course. We look forward to playing against him next season."
