Richmond Scouts Rebecca Heath, Kara Hodgson, Sarah O'Hagan and Fiona Cherry (right) got anything but a Chile reception when they attended the 19th World Scouts Jamboree.
Despite the current controversy surrounding the country's former dictator, General Pinochet, they received a warm welcome when they joined up with thousands of Scouts from all over the world in Chile. For 10 days they lived with more than 8,000 Chilean youngsters and 24,000 other Scouts from 180 different countries.
Activities included hiking in the Andes, working in local communities and enjoying different festivals every night.
