A NEW Literary Fringe bursting with local talent is heading to Cowes.
Held in October, the event is likely to feature live music, poetry, demonstrations, talks and other events.
The plans were revealed at the Cowes Business Association’s AGM.
It will run alongside the successful IW Literary Festival, also held in Cowes, which sees famous authors give talks and sign copies of their books.
Kate Kirby, chairman of the association, said: “This new idea is a really good opportunity for our businesses to work together. We are trying to think outside the box and extend the season.
“I don’t think we will match Ventnor Fringe this year but there’s no reason why we can’t next year.”
Business owners were urged to volunteer and help make the event a success.
More details will be released over the next few months.
