March 30, 2001 12:08: SEVEN Cator Park Secondary School for Girls' pupils have been sent out in the cold.
The girls, who are all studying Russian at the school in Lennard Road, Beckenham, took part in an exchange with a school in Yerkaterinburg, the capital of the Urals, in Russia.
Because of a flight delay the girls had an unexpected day in Moscow, where they were able to visit Red Square, the Kremlin and St Basil's Cathedral. They then flew to chilly Siberia, where temperatures can sometimes drop as low as -40 degree Celsius, and were met by officials from the Yerkaterinburg school.
After visiting the city, the girls spent two days at a trying cross-country skiing and tobogganing.
