DELUSIONAL show business character Count Arthur Strong — whose third BBC series, Count Arthur’s House of Horrors, starts this evening (Friday) — will bring his new live show to Shanklin Theatre next week.
Steve Delaney’s character, a pompous, out-of-work actor from Doncaster, who attempts to recount his life story with the help of the scholarly son of his former comedy partner, will be sharing some of his tall tales and wisdom, as well as paying tribute to one of his favourite musicals, in The Sound of Mucus, on Wednesday.
Count Arthur will be supported on stage by Terry Kilkelly, as Malcolm de Tinsell, from his BBC radio show, and Dave Plimmer, who features in the TV series.
Strong said of his new show: “If you only buy one ticket for something this year, buy a ticket for this one twice and bring a friend.
“I promise you, you won’t regret it. If you do, there’s something wrong with you. No refunds.”
It starts at 8pm.
