A PLEASANT way to while away a morning by learning a craft is being offered by a local volunteer group.
The Craft Group at the Beacon Centre, 56 Croydon Road, West Wickham, offers a range of things to do including china painting, making summer food treats and quilted pictures. Materials are provided.
The group meets on Friday mornings from 10am to 11am. It is open to anyone. You can just pop in without a booking and no experience is needed.
Organiser Beryl Bentley says new ideas on things to do are always welcome and there is no pressure.
She said: "It's for anyone who is at home during the day really. There's a nice friendly atmosphere and you can just relax and talk if you want to."
The mornings cost £1.50 and programmes are available at the centre. Tel no 020 8462 6571.
