STUDENTS at Goldsmiths College have taken over the airwaves in south-east London.
Wired Radio 87.7FM, the student station, has been granted a licence to broadcast continually, day and night, until February 10.
And anyone living within a three mile radius of the college, in New Cross, will be able to tune into various music, chat, drama and news.
Station manager Garry Brown said: "Goldsmiths is re-nowned for its innovation and creative thinking and Wired is a perfect outlet for this.
"We believe the station will appeal both to students and the local public."
People living outside the area, are still able to listen in on, www.wired.gold.ac.uk
