STAR student Larissa Dowd raised £90 for the NSPCC in only ten minutes.

The Year 7 pupil at Pipers Corner School in Great Kingshill, was sponsored by her classmates to complete a maths challenge set by her teacher and got every question right within the time limit.

Larissa, 11, of Hartwell, Aylesbury, who has been raising money for the NSPCC since primary school, thoroughly enjoyed the pressure of the challenge.

By her shrewd calculations, she raised £9 a minute for the worthy cause.
