HOCKEY

IW 9, Yateley III 0

IW WERE determined to repeat their rampant scoring form against Yateley and achieved it with a great all-round performance.

Tom Young opened the scoring in the first few minutes and his effort was quickly backed up with strikes by Ollie Stubbings and Stephen Woodford.

The goals just kept on coming when Tom Gould deflected the ball home and then Colin Simmons netted from Stuart Allen’s shot.

Young then rifled a short corner home, and then completed his hat-trick with a neat pivot at the top of the circle before scoring.

A double strike from Lewis Heaven-Gandy completed the rout.

Keeping the clean sheet were defenders Simon Butler, Patrick Butt, Stubbings and goalkeeper Tom Spear.

IW: Spear, Butler, Butt, Stubbings, Allen, Heaven-Gandy, Gould, Baker, Liddiard, Woodford, Young, Simmons.
