RESIDENTS with housing problems or rent arrears will soon be able to get extra help from a housing advice service being set up by Gravesham Council.
At the council's executive meeting last week, cabinet member for housing Councillor Ernie Brook announced there is £21,000 in the budget for a new housing advice worker who will be appointed in April.
The officer will set up a housing advice service which helps tenants with housing queries and rent arrears.
Cllr Brook said Gravesham Council is also going to negotiate with the Citizens' Advice Bureau to provide independent housing advice.
He said: "We want to give our tenants more housing advice and hopefully this new officer we are appointing will help towards that."
