TV Licensing has announced that it intends to make half a million extra visits to suspected licence evaders across the United Kingdom in the next three months. Between July and September, an extra 41,500 visits will be made each week, and TV Licensing warns that evasion is a criminal offence and anyone found watching television without a licence risks a visit to court and a £1,000 fine.
