LETTERS From A. Hookey, Newport:
I FEEL I must congratulate our council once again for its total disregard of Mayfield Drive, Newport, when it came to gritting during the recent bad weather.
Mayfield Drive leads off Staplers Road but was the only one left untreated. Leading from Staplers, it is dangerous at the bottom if trying to turn left or right in these conditions. It is also a busy road at times.
