The Disability Rights Advice Project (DRAP), which is run by Richmond Citizens Advice Bureau, won a short-term reprieve after £6,000 was raised at a star studded charity bash in April.
The funds will keep the service going until September but its long-term future is still in doubt.
Richmond CAB, which is determined to keep the charity going, has launched a major fundraising drive and has enlisted celebrities Rosemary Leach and Patti Boulayeas, the charity's patrons.
