Preparations are already underway to assemble the world's largest choir at Twickenham rugby stadium in the year 2000.
The RFU has agreed to host Chorus 2000 which will feature world-famous opera singer Lesley Garrett with support from a 64,000 strong line-up of singers invited from top choirs all over the country.
Other performers who have promised to make June 17, 2000, a very special day include the English National Opera, under musical director Paul Daniel, and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra.
The performance will feature the Millennium Anthem which has been composed by James MacMillan.
Another 12 sub-conductors will be dotted around the stadium with responsibility for a section of performers with whom they will have built up a relationship at regional workshops.
