Shaftesbury Barnet sprinters Shani Anderson, Catherine Murphy and Abi Oyetipan were in top form in a meeting at Loughborough College on Sunday.

Representing Great Britain Students against England, Scotland and Great Britain Juniors, Shani ran her fastest ever 100m, winning in 11.36secs, with Oyetipan, competing as a guest, second in 11.54secs. Oyetipan was also third in the 200m (23.82secs).

Anderson's time of 23.66secs when runner-up to Murphy (23.51secs) in the Invitation 200m was also a personal best. Murphy also won the 100m in 11.75secs.

Shaftesbury's Remi Edui won the invitation 400m hurdles in 51.99secs.

In the match, Shaftesbury's world junior javelin champion David Parker won for Great Britain Juniors with a fine throw of 74.06m.

Another SBH winner was D Mikneviciute in the high jump (1.81m), with clubmate Lee McConnell a close third (1.78m).

Julie Dunkley was second in the shot (15.46m), and Commonwealth triple jump champion Larry Achike (England) was a close third with 16.40m, behind guest Julian Golley (16.48m) and P Idowu (16.41m).

o  Shaftesbury Barnet Harriers Women had a good day in the Junior League as they recorded four personal bests on their way to winning the match by 75 points on Sunday.

Cherie Pierre won the 100m, 200m and the shot putt and Ellie Spain won the pole vault and took second in the 100m hurdles and 400m hurdles.

The other individual winner was Jessica Nugent who came home first in the 1,500m. The 4x400m relay team also won their event.

Ellie Spain won the Female Athlete of the Match award.

o  Shaftesbury Barnet were successful in their Southern Women's League Division One match at Copthall Stadium on Saturday, beating runners-up Bournemouth by nine points, 193-184.
