Dartford won their fourth consecutive Dr Martens Eastern League game with an authorative 2-0 win against Chatham at Stonebridge Road on Saturday.

The Darts made a great start when they took the lead after just minutes.

Lee Jones' swung over a centre whioch was headed back across goal by Richard Usherwood and Joe Kevin was on hand to prod the ball home from close in.

Chatham then came close to equalising after 11 minutes, when Craig Roser's 30-yard drive was expertly saved by Darts keeper Tony Kessell.

The Darts went two-up 10 minutes before the break when Dave Parsons' free-kick from the left flank found Matt Smith at the far post and his fiercely-hit shot flew into the net.

Dartford were in charge for virtually all the second half, but the closest they came to scoring again was near the final whistle when substitute Chris Arnold's fine header from Steve Marriner's centre hit the bar.

On Tuesday, the Darts are away at Hastings Town, and on Saturday are travelling again, this time to Dorchester Town.
