HUNDREDS of people got a taste of life in the Second World War as part of Family Learning Weekend.
Adults and children experienced reenactments of the war years during a weekend of special events at Royal Artillery Museum Firepower, in Woolwich.
As well as dressing up in wartime costume, youngsters heard tales of how their grandparents lived and ate during the days of the blackouts and food rationing which included recipes such as carrot marmalade.
