Classics start jazz season

MUSIC ONE of the Island’s best-known jazz musicians, sax player Gary Plumley, will appear at the Apollo Theatre, Newport, next Sunday, November 4, as part of Newport Jazz Club’s new season of events.

The Gary Plumley/ Tim Parkin quintet will present jazz classics from the be bop era to the present day, featuring among others, music from Miles Davis.

Gary will be accompanied by Tim on trumpet, Sandy Suchodolski on bass, Jim Thorn on piano and Jack Henson on drums.
