MUSIC THE Island’s Wight Hot Pipes, led by the 'Piping Hot Doc’ Dr Kieron Cooney, are bringing a host of their musical friends to Medina Theatre, Newport, for an inspiring evening of music and song.

The group, who also helped put together the Island Highland Gathering at Robin Hill during the summer, is organising this special charity show, The Medina Tattoo, next Saturday, October 20, in aid of the Earl Mountbatten Hospice.

This is the second Medina Tattoo — last year’s event was spectacular and this year’s is shaping up to be even better. The evening will see the Wight Hot Pipes joined on stage by the Rose and Thistle Pipes and Drums from Portsmouth, the Voxpop Choir of voices from the Island, the Medina Marching Band and the talented soprano Sam Howard. The evening will be presided over by Mr Piano Man, Matt Black.
