A STORK which got lost on its way to Africa and ended up on the Isle of Wight may have died during Storm Brian.

The rare bird had been spotted sitting on top of Brighstone Church this week.
But members of IOW Birding Facebook group believe it has died following the stormy conditions.
They also said it could have starved or been exhausted by the high winds and rain.
Island wildlife expert Matthew Chatfield said: "You don't often see them in the UK. They winter in Africa. This one is a bit off course - they usually breed in mainland Europe and then migrate huge distances.
"They have been seen on the Island but it is very rare."
